Actually lemme reblog this again cause first of all I cannot believe that girl fixed her mouth to say that Melissa Arnette Elliott was not supported by the music industry/her peers/the fans/etc. When literally… her production discography alone looks like this. Like she wasn’t a feature artist at the Superbowl half time show and ended up outshining the headliner. Like every Black person with a Sam’s Club card hasn’t bought up bulk boxes of trash bags to do her Supa Dupa Fly look for Halloween.

If i saw the post yall talkin about I woulda lost it. Missy Elliott herself and the powerhouse of rap acts coming out of virginia at time who supported her had revolutionized hip hop. Legiterally. She is the blueprint for the cultural shift in early 2000’s hip hop lol and an icon in music history period. This slander must not stand.
